Museo a Cielo Abierto 2

This is one of six murals carried out by artists Mario Moreno and Soledad Vargas (going under artistic names Sofrenia and RaciclandoMuros). This particular mural, entitled “Mitologia Chilota”, reflects the concept of Chilean Myths and Legends, illustrated in the design. The design idea was to mix different myths and legends of their home country, linked by some landscapes and backgrounds  in order to achieve an environment where every legend is distinguished and yet forms a whole.

The artists describe paiting on walls as “one of the most important things which happened in their lives, thanks to which we met many people and we have developed as human beings”. They have created works (together or individaully) for Symposium of Urban Creation in Valdivia (Chile), WorldVision Chile, painted in different cities in Chile, Argentina and in Aguas Calientes Machu Picchu, Peru.
