Big Yellow Bunny

This bunny may seem out of place, dropped into the centre of the plaza in the Swedish city of Örebro, against a monument – who does not seem to be impressed by this new, fluffy neighbour 😉

The bunny was a work by a Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman constructed for 2011’s openART biennale held in the city. The 13-meter tall installation, constructed out of locally-manufactured shingles and a wooden armature with the help of local volunteers, as the author explained “explores the notion of scale and urban perspective by providing a new focal point in the open square”.  Or, as another comment I found somewhere said – “having been to Örebro I can safely say that this was likely the most exciting thing to have happened there in sometime.

Anyway, for me  – looks like fun. Big, yellow fun.
